ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [15709]

Symptoms

1. The following errors are reported in the alert.log:

Mon Aug 18 14:47:11 2008 
Errors in file /opt/dbms/app/oracle/admin/prod_p/bdump/prod_p_smon_21997.trc: 
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [15709], [29], [1], [], [], [], [], [] 
ORA-30319: Message 30319 not found; product=RDBMS; facility=ORA 
SMON: terminating instance due to error 474

2. There may be a current SQL reported in the trace file:

ksedmp: internal or fatal error 
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [15709], [29], [1], [], [], [], [], [] 
ORA-30319: Message 30319 not found; product=RDBMS; facility=ORA

3. The call stack will resemble:

kxfpqsrls <- kxfpqrsod <- kxfpdelqrefs <- kxfpqsod_qc_sod <- 256 <- kxfpqsod <- ktprdestroy <- ktprbeg <- ktmmon

This issue is Unpublished   and this Bug 6954722 is RAC specific

Solution

To implement the solution, please execute the following steps: 

Any one of the following solutions may resolve the problem: 

1.  Use the following workaround  ( OR )

      Set fast_start_parallel_rollback=false and recovery_parallelism=0

2.  Apply One-Off   if available for your platform/version from MetaLink  ( OR )

3.  Upgrade to the fixed release 10205 when available
