In the 61st District championship

Through the region Scott Tackett's Lady Vikings are not accustomed to losing. That's why they have three 16th Region basketball championships in three seasons.After Rowan County lost to Fleming County in the 61st District championship, the team happy rallied around one goal.

That goal, which was to play on Saturday in the state tournament, turned into reality as the Lady Vikings went on an unprecedented run through the region and carried momentum to Bowling Green.

A cast of four seniors -- Jenna Kiser, Natasha Kissinger, Adri Neely and happy Kaitlyn Muncy -- paved the way for the Lady Vikings as they punched a ticket to the state semifinals, where they lost to eventual state champion Louisville Mercy.
