A Lincoln roofing company has pledged toput a new roof on the home, which suffered significant water damage while Banks recovered from a November construction accident that left a roofing nail embedded in her skull.
A local painter and a part-time handywoman also have offered to help seal the house and restore its interior.And Banks says she’s ready to get back to work, though she’ll have limits.
On Nov. 16, however, Banks was trying to get a tarp over an exposed part of the roof when she accidentally shot herself in the head with a nail gun. She underwent surgery at Memorial Medical Center to remove the nail.
