Adding small gourds and pumpkins to your vignettes or accessories
Warm the aroma of your house with candles that have the scent of pumpkin pie, cinnamon, vanilla, cookies or any wonderful fall choice. Another way to add a fragrance, as well as texture, is to place potpourri in different areas of your home. There are some lovely scents available this year with a variety of shapes and many have chunkier textures.
Adding small gourds and pumpkins to your vignettes or accessories is another way to bring in fall. Add nuts in their shells, pine cones or potpourri for texture and fall color to any décor and color scheme. These items work in contemporary or traditional environments depending on the containers they are placed in.
If you have a fireplace, place logs in a large basket next to it to add a textural element that suggests fall and winter are here. And, of course, building a fire is especially cozy and one of my family's favorite things about fall and winter.
