Problem
Users can unknowingly create an agent in their mail file that causes an infinite mail routing loop. This is possible to do with a simple action agent. You would like to prevent users doing this with a simple action agent.
Solution
An enhancement request for this new functionality was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# JCOS594Q5P. There are currently no plans to restrict which Simple Actions are available with which Triggers when designing agents.
Supporting Information:
To reproduce, create an agent in your mail file to send documents automatically.
Set the agent properties as follows:
Trigger: After new mail has arrived
Simple Action: Send Document.
Save and close the agent
Have someone send you mail either addressed to you or to a group of which you are a member. The agent set to "After new mail has arrived" will trigger when a new mail message has arrived in your Inbox. The Simple Action "Send Document" will send the document to everyone who is listed in the SendTo field of the incoming message. Since you are in the SendTo field the new message will be delivered back to you, which triggers the agent again, sends the document to you again, and the looping mail continues.
