disk controller, disk drive, hard disk drive, hard disk这几个terms是什么样的关系？
The disk controller (or "hard disk controller") is the circuit which allows the CPU to communicate with a hard disk, floppy disk or other kind of disk drive.
disk controller使得CPU和disk drive能够通信。
disk drive 包括有hard disk drive、floppy disk drive等
A hard disk drive (HDD) is commonly referred to as a hard drive, hard disk, or fixed disk drive

顺便说一下host adapter

In fact signals read by a disk read-and-write head are converted by a disk controller, then transmitted over the peripheral bus, then converted again by the host adapter into the suitable format for the motherboard's bus, and then read by the CPU.
