The list of players that could be labeled culprits
The list of players that could be labeled culprits is quite long, however
system I can think of a couple that don’t deserve the wrath of the fans. It is sad to say that this qualifies a player for a game ball but it is our current reality.
Offensive Game Ball: Calvin Johnson – Probably the only Lion that deserves any sort of praise of his play on Sunday is Calvin Johnson. It was number 81 that made some of the biggest plays on the Lions final drive including the touchdown that gave the Lions a chance to tie the game. CJ finished with 10 catches for 128 yards but could have had a lot more if Shaun Hill was more willing to take some shots down the field before the last drive of the game.
Defensive Game Ball: Lawrence Jackson – In a day where the Lions had very few big plays Lawrence Jackson was able to come up with two of them. He brought down Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick for the Lions only sack of the game and forced a fumble by Fred Jackson in the first half when the Bills had a drive going inside Lions territory. Lawrence Jackson finished the day with four tackles and two assists although he was not as noticeable in the
system second half as he was in the first half. All in all he did a nice job in the absence of Cliff Avril
