The village board has approved an agreement
The village board has approved an agreement with Kane County to borrow money through the
yesterday federal stimulus fund program to connect water distribution systems serving the future Brier Hill Crossing subdivision and the Interstate 90/Route 20 interchange area.
The village will receive up to $550,000 in federal funds through the county for the work. The payback period will be 10 years, with a low interest rate of 3 percent or less.
Since the village’s water fund alone cannot absorb the cost of the improvements, a monthly
yesterday fee of $5 will be added to Hampshire water bills.
