Global Mala, which coincides with UN's International Day of Peace, is an event in which yoga studios and their communities will gather around the world to promote peace.
Kaminsky believes "the power of this event has taken on a life of its own. People now look forward to this annual event as a way to do their part in helping to promote peace," she said.
"People are also excited to support the city of Newark where we have held this event for the last three years," Kaminsky added.Newark Mayor Cory Booker has been a supporter of Global Mala New Jersey since its inception and is expected to open the event this year.
