Despite students getting older and leaving their childhoods behind, the dress-up day brought back a lot of memories.

Many students showed their spirit by dressing in blue jeans, red and white shirts and hats. A yearbook photo was taken to commemorate the day.

Student council member Matt MacNeil was chosen to dress up in traditional Waldo garb as the 'real Waldo'. He handed out tickets to students who recognized him.

A decoy Waldo and his female counterpart Wenda showed up around the school to add some confusion.

Mark Edmonds' ticket was drawn out of about 20 for the grand prize, a $50 Vanilla Visa and an original Where's Waldo ? book by Martin Hanford.

Roughly 20 Annandale students participated in the first formal they have been invited to, which was slightly better than the Valentine's Day Dance turnout.

Fake snow was used in the winter formal back in December, but the DJs at Spring Fling used a soap bubble machine for the crowd.

Grade 10 students wrote the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test on April 8 during periods one and two. Passing is a mandatory requisite for receiving a high school diploma. Students who fail are given the opportunity to write once more before having to take part in a Grade 12 literacy course should they fail a second time.
