It's easy to gravitate toward the large vendors on the Global Gaming Expo exhibit floor, with display areas the size of minimansions, elaborate product demos and platoons of sales reps.
But in the much more modest 10-by-10 or 10-by-20-foot spaces, a different level of the Las Vegas gaming industry tried to woo potential customers. Generally privately owned with employee in the dozens and not hundreds or thousands, they supply many of the components and systems that handle the grunt work of operations largely unnoticed by players.
In addition, a group of the lesser-known exhibitors comprises a major portion of Nevada's international business as the U.S. head offices of foreign companies.
