a less-than-expected 40% as the food giant's 2008 profit was helped by the sale of its cereal business. But revenue fell on currency impacts and lower costs again helped boost margins. Shares fell 2.9% to $26.75 in after-hours trading as sales fell short of analysts' expectations.
Crown Castle International Corp. (CCI) reported a slightly narrower third-quarter loss, but the red ink was greater than expected, even as the company continued to report revenue gains on increased need to rent cell-tower antennas. Shares fell 2% to $30.97 after hours.
Con-Way Inc.'s (CNW) third-quarter profit declined 67% as the freight-transportation company posted lower revenue at the less-than-truckload and global logistics segments. Shares were down 2.2% to $31.90 in after-hours trading as
