The Metal index was at 16,112.43, down by 259.17 points or by 1.58%. The major losers were Hindalco Industries (2.09%), Bhushan Steel (1.43%), Jindal Steel & Power (1.15%), Hindustan Zinc (0.51%) and National Aluminium Company (0.14%).
The Power index was at 2,773.68, down by 37.37 points or by 1.33%. The major losers were Reliance Infrastructure (9.28%), GVK Power & Infrastructure (2.32%), Bharat Heavy Electricals (0.46%), G M R Infrastructure (0.37%) and A B B (0.12%).
