Volkswagen’s nine-month operating profit

Volkswagen’s nine-month operating profit Europe’s largest automaker, produces cars and sport- utility vehicles through two ventures in China with partners SAIC Motor Corp. and China FAW Group Corp.

Volkswagen’s nine-month operating profit in China more than doubled to 1.32 billion euros.

The company said Dec. 10 it aims to boost global deliveries to more than 7 million units this year for the first time. Toyota, which overtook GM to become the world’s biggest automaker in 2008, expects to sell 8.28 million vehicles in 2010, including sales from its Lexus luxury brand and Daihatsu Motor Co. and Hino Motors Ltd. units.
