MISUMI Launches Automotive Style Locating Pins and Holders SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Sep 29, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- MISUMI USA, Inc., a subsidiary of MISUMI Corporation, part of MISUMI Group, Inc. (tokyo:9962) and a leading provider of fixed and configurable mechanical components for machine building and factory automation systems, has announced the addition of six new automotive style components to its comprehensive family of Locating Pins and Holders. The new products are designed for use in production machines, jigs and fixtures used by automotive OEMs and suppliers of auto systems and assemblies.

MISUMI's new product line-up was developed to meet the automotive industry's stringent requirements, with a design that aligns with North American Automotive Manufacturing Society Standards (NAAMS). In addition to automotive companies, users of the new locating components are expected to include machinery and equipment builders, as well as assembly system designers and integrators, across a diverse range of industries.

MISUMI's new locating components include: Flanged Bullet Nose Locating Pin Large Head Bullet Nose Locating Pin Retaining Block Pin Holder for use with standard NAAMS retaining blocks Large Head Cylinder Pin Small Head Cylinder Pin Cylinder Pin Holder The back of the Pins and Holders measures a standard 16mm in diameter and 24mm in length, to match NAAMS pin design. Depending on the style selected, the head diameter of the automotive style pins range from 6mm to 32mm, configurable in 0.1mm increments, with maximum head working length of 30mm. The pin holders range in height from 42mm to 170mm, and are configurable in 1mm increments.
