“This is a great way to help others and to know that you’ve done something good in the world,” Justice said.
She helped bring about 15 boxes worth of clothes and toys to the Martin Luther King Jr. Library Tuesday, where the organizers of the Joy Drive sifted through them and repackaged them into boxes. Dozens of grocery bags full of cereal, macaroni and cheese, cake mix and canned foods that were donated by Boy Scout Troop Packs 749 and 15 were also lying on tables waiting to be sorted at the library.
The Joy Drive has raised about $15,000 worth of donations so far, but it hopes to raise $30,000 by the end of the month.
