Jewelry theft charged: Phillip J. Cihak, 20, homeless of Elgin, was charged with felony theft. He is accused of taking jewelry valued at $327 from a family member on Tuesday. Bail was set at $4,000, and he was given a Nov. 12 court date.
Smashing pumpkin through tindow: A resident on the 2000 block of Clearwater Way reported his Dodge Caravan’s rear window had been shattered by what appeared to be a smashed pumpkin found on the dash of the vehicle, according to police reports. There are no suspects at this time, but the man would like to prsue complaints if an offender is found.
More pumpkin troubles: A resident of Red Barn Lane reported damage in the form of a smashed area by the rear tailgate to 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager by what the resident believes was a pumpkin, according to police reports.
