Metal Trades and Welding teacher Olie Olson Sheets of medium gauge stainless steel delivered to the Charles May BOCES Center in October are being converted by students into 29 unique statues of angels.

These sculptures will celebrate the revitalization of downtown Mount Morris and adorn the business district during the Holiday shopping season.

Metal Trades and Welding teacher Olie Olson reports that an angel was his inspiration in conceiving the project. The angel which represents the selfless ethic of care, the symbol and guardian for the Teresa House hospice in Geneseo, is being recreated in a vast array of forms under Olson’s supervision.
