The prosthetic is customizable to fit the way different people walk.Dishman got some advice from someone who knows what she is going through during an event Thursday at the West Shore YMCA.Robert Jordan has been an amputee for more than 25 years.He's learned a lot about the C-Leg, calling it the best prosthetic he's ever worn.
Now he teaches other amputees how to use the leg."It allows me to help them go on with their lives and show them how this can change their lives," Jordan said.Dishman said the leg has changed her life.She has been using the C-Leg for more than a year, but she is still learning what it can do.She wants to return to her job as an operating room nurse.
