For those who have not made Old Spice Guy's acquaintance, he
yaheng is Isaiah Mustafa, a muscular actor and former professional football player/restaurateur who tickled the fancy of women and men in large numbers in February with a Wieden+Kennedy produced video commercial, "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like."
With deadpan delivery, a shirtless Mustafa extols the virtues of Old Spice shower gel as he walks in an uninterrupted take from his bathroom onto a sailboat and then a white horse, offering women an oyster containing two tickets "to that thing you love," tickets that suddenly turn into a pile of diamonds.
"Anything is possible when your man smells like Old Spice and not a lady," Mustafa said.
The spot was a huge hit, getting nearly 13 million views to date on
yaheng YouTube and winning the Grand Prix at the 2010 Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. Mustafa got tremendous attention and professional windfalls, including a movie role offer from director Tyler Perry.
