For some reason, I went to some place near Xizhimen this morning. I was thinking of going to BIT after that. But my phone was in low battery and I started to get knowed that though I put the phone on the plug last night, the power switch was off, as a result, my cell phone shut down in a short time after I left my apartment. Then I changed the plan, didn't go to BIT, but the temple of earth. I am looking for some books in computer and English study these days. So I hoped I could get something there. This day is the day before the book festival ends. There were a lot of people. Luckily, I got something as listed below:
1. New concept English 3: from senior high school I started to study concept English,which was in 2rd grade.As the teacher suggested, we recited articles in the book. I really enjoyed the book and bought tapes myself. As time passed, I was quite familiar with most of the arcticles in the book, the rest not. When in college, I brought the book, quite old and without a cover, to BIT and I found I still can learn a lot in it. And at this time, today, when I am looking for some English study materials,it appears. It feels like an old friend and I get it back for 5RMB.
2. Data Structure, Tsinghua University press,authored by Yan Weimin and Wu Weiming. In fact, this book is used as our textbook in computer science major. But I sold almost all the books before I graduated. You know, I played lots of computer game, as an end, the time spent on my major study was far from enough. But since I work as a software engineer now, I need a firm foundation. So I need to refer to these books again and again. Thanks to God, they come back at last.
3. Computer Networks, by Andrew S.Tanenbaum. Remember it? You got it, our textbook again.It will not be easy to learn computer network, but it will be even harder if the book is in English. Yes, it's in English, hope I can make it to get through the book. The privilege is that now I have got a lot practical experience.
4. The Learning Revolution, by Jeannette Vos and Gorden Dryden. Ha, old friend again. I first read it when I was in the 3rd grade in senior high school. It's about the way you study. Quite by chance, I have got some other arcticles about the way we study, for example, the acrticle I put at the top of my blog, find it? Actually, the reason why I start to write my blog in English is in that arcticle: put it into practice.
