据报道,我国人口近视发生率为33%，全国近视眼人数已近4亿。而近视高发群体——青少年近视发病率则高达50%至60%，我国是世界上近视发病率最高的国家之一，近视眼人数世界第一。

现在的学生，有几个不患有近视？高中自不待言，就是刚上小学的学生，戴着眼镜的又岂在少数？学生看书写作业的时间长久，周六日也要上辅导班，没时间让眼睛休息。家长和老师都只关心学习成绩，近不近视无所谓……望子成龙、分数成为命根儿，好孩子在许多大人的印象中只有两个字——用功！到头来，我们看到的只能是年轮似的眼镜，诉说着一双双纯洁双眸的“久经考验”，更记录着一段段被题海淹没的花季童年。
Most of students now are shortsighted, no matter the seniors in high schools or the pupils just enter into the primary classes. Everyday they need a long time to complete their homework, while on the weekends they still need to attend the tutorial lessons, which make it impossible for them to have their eyes relax. Unfortunately, what the parents and teachers focus on now is not their health of eyes but the test scores or the study achievements. With the good wishes that hoping their children would have bright futures, parents allow students to do nothing but study hard. Finally, from the thick lens in front of their destroyed eyes, we can see nothing but the busy childhoods filled with tests.
