三、四个月前遇到一个很奇特的故障——某个位高权重的Notes用户，在发送邮件选择发件人时，计算机总是会没有响应30秒左右。
当时的应对办法——延长Domino Directory数据库的本地复本的复制调度设置。这个解决方式对头，但一直没弄明白其原因所在。
现在，大致弄清楚原因了。以下几种情况都可能造成Notes客户端短暂时间没没有响应：
1、Windows XP的系统目录空间不足时；
2、在Notes客户端保存了大Size的数据库复本，在其执行view index时；
3、Notes客户端超出1分钟没有操作时，NTASKLDR任务执行Paging Out操作时。
依据 #IDEA5VSS27 技术文档（详细内容附在本文后部）的描述，可以使用一种更为简单的解决方式，在Notes客户端的Notes.INI文件中添加如下一行：

SPR# IDEA5VSS27 - Notes 6 was paging out the working set on Windows
after 60 seconds of inactivity unless DISABLE_TRIMWS=1 was set in the
Notes.ini. This caused problems, particularly when using 128MB or less
RAM. With this fix, the paging out behavior will only occur if
DISABLE_TRIMWS=0 is explicitly set in the Notes.ini. That is, the
default value for DISABLE_TRIMWS has been changed from 0 to 1. This
regression was introduced in 6.0.
