MWI/asterisk MWI是什么意思？

MWI = Message Waiting Indicator (消息等待指示)

Usually an audio or visual signal that a voicemail or other type of message is waiting. Examples:

• Stutter dial-tone（通信拨号音）
• Flashing light on phone（电话的闪灯）
• Vibration（震动）
• Periodic special ring（周期性的专用铃声）

MWI across multiple Asterisk servers

Depending on how you want to set it up, just use externnotify= and a script that touches the msg.txt file in the user's vm directory on the other boxes. We're using ssh, you may choose to use a different method. It's an immediate MWI notification, and seems to work well.
