What does i.e. mean?
Today my friend ask me what i.e. mean? Yes,I know,it means "example".But I still don't know why does it mean "that is".Then I ask google,and google tells me the answer.Thank you,google- my best friend!
I think most of you also mustn't know it.You can try to let google tell you.

It is used as an abbreviation and in this way can mean a number of things including Internet Explorer which is a popular internet browser linked to windows in computers. “IE” for International English, this refers to the English language as the primary means of global communication. In engineering and science “IE” can mean information extraction, Industrial engineering, Institute for energy etc.
