For Power6, IBM has introduced two different types of APV codes.
The Standard Edition provides everything introduced at Power5
The Enterprise Edition provides the features provided by the Standard Edition, plus
Active Partition Mobility & Inactive Partition Mobility.
One way to determine if you have the Enterprise Edition installed on your Power6 server
is to view the Properties of the Managed Server (using HMC 7.3.X) and viewing the Capabilities Tab
The above 9117-MMA does have the Enterprise Code. Thus the two fields "Active Partition Mobility Capable" and "Inactive Partition Mobility Capable" are set to "True" Before the Enterprise code was added, both of those values were "False" However, before the Enterprise Code was entered, the other features that come with a Standard APV code were "True" For example: "Micropartitoning Capable" and "Virtual I/O Server Capable" were "True" before the Enterprise Code was added because the Standard code had already been purchased.
*** Note Active/Inactive Partition Mobility is not available for Power5 Servers. This document is not intended to go deeply into that topic, but the following Redbook maybe useful.
There are two important documents that should be viewed for a deeper understanding
IBM System p Virtualization — The most complete Virtualization offering for UNIX and Linux
& IBM System p Advanced POWER Virtualization Enterprise Edition introductory promotion (expires December 31st) (This announcement letter is timely -- as current Power6 clients can try the Enterprise Code for a limited time)

Since the URLs are long, using the below, shorter URL, and then searching for the keywords, will also bring up these documents as the first two hits.
Search keyword "APV Enterprise Edition"
