这个名词我很不喜欢，总想弄清出处。今天突然用到cnki,用目态和操作系统作全文内容检索，找到了比较满意的说法。

Problem states and Supervisor States 看来是对应的英文
IBM jargon for user mode, the opposite of
"supervisor state".
On IBM System 360, 370 and 390 mainframes
privileged instructions may only be executed in "supervisor state".
