    URD（URL Rendezvous Directory）是思科研发的传送方案，可以在终端不支持IGMPv3的情况下部署SSM。部署URD时，组播终端不需要任何升级，只需支持HTTP协议，并且需要虚拟URD web server。

■Abstract：

    URD(URL Rendezvous Directory) is a Cisco-developed transitional solution that enables the deployment of SSM with existing IP multicast receiver applications that do not support IGMPv3. The software on the end-user systems running the application do not need to be updated. URD is a content provider solution in which receiver applications can be started or controlled through a web browser.
