The zone configuration is implemented either by World Wide Name (WWN), Domain, or 24-bit Port ID. Zoning using WWN is much more flexible and allows devices to be connected to any port of the switch. However, if a device WWN changes, for
example, due to a hardware failure and subsequent replacement, an update to the zoning configuration is necessary. In comparison, Port ID based zoning limits the device access to the configured port. A device connected to a port, other than the
specified Domain and port, requires zone configuration change. The cfgshow command lists the detail of the active zone configuration.
