 10G修改数据库成为ARCHIVELOG模式和ORA-00265错

      ORACLE的ARCHIVELOG模式不但可以完成RMAN的备份，还可以完成基于其上很多高可用的应用，如STREAM/DATAGUARD等等多种技术。
      其实在进入ORACLE10G后，修改成为ARCHIVELOG模式着实的容易。但是今天同事就问在修改ARCHIVELOG模式时报错:
     

SQL> alter database archivelog;
alter database archivelog
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00265: instance recovery required, cannot set ARCHIVELOG mode

      其实问题很简单，就是其在关闭数据库的时候使用了AROBT选项。

SQL> shutdown abort;
ORACLE instance shut down.

      重新OPEN开数据库后，正常关闭数据库。然后执行ARCHIVELOG模式修改，一切顺利执行。
      

SQL> shutdown immediate;
Database closed.
Database dismounted.
ORACLE instance shut down.
SQL> startup mount;
ORACLE instance started.

Total System Global Area  205520896 bytes
Fixed Size                  1218532 bytes
Variable Size              71305244 bytes
Database Buffers          130023424 bytes
Redo Buffers                2973696 bytes
Database mounted.
SQL> alter database archivelog;

Database altered.

SQL> alter database open;

Database altered.

SQL> archive log list;

Archive destination            /oracle/app/oradata/LARRY/arch1
Oldest online log sequence     184
Next log sequence to archive   186
Current log sequence           186
