Since yesterday,my ubuntu 9.10 reboot outputs some messages like:
/dev/sda3: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
(i.e., without -a or -p options)
mountall: fsck / [377] terminated with status 4
mountall: Filesystem has errors: /
init: mountall main process (369) terminated with status 3
Mount of filesystem failed.
A maintenance shell will now be started.
CONTROL-D will terminate this shell and re-try.
Give root password for maintenance
Login incorrect.
Give root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D to continue):
login as root,then type:
fsck.ext3 /dev/sda3(if your filesystem is ext3)
fix it and reboot.
