rongtong the helm of the company, ham and pork shoulders were slow-roasted for the signature product.
Martin took over ownership about five years ago, said Wrench. Martin also runs Martin's Abattoir and Wholesale Meats across the rural two-lane highway from Old Hickory.Gainey said her store's grill had served Old Hickory Barbecue and coleslaw for years. The store is now looking for a substitute, she said.
"Our church and a number of organizations here have used their products," said Chief Wayne Lucas of the Godwin-Falcon Fire Department. "They have great barbecue and some of the best slaw I've ever eaten."
