The company says one cold rolling mill is in operation
ThyssenKrupp says its new stainless steel mill in south Alabama has gone into operation.
The company says one cold rolling mill is in operation. It says cold-rolled capacity is initially 100,000 metric tons a year and will increase to a maximum 140,000 tons a year.
Work on building the site to produce carbon and stainless steel flat products began in 2007, in partnership with ThyssenKrupp Steel USA.
