I didn't care about anything Two weeks after entering a North Carolina hospital for overdosing on aspirin and a sleep aid, singer Fantasia Barrino says she wanted to die.

The American Idol winner tells VH1 in a new Behind the Music interview:

"I didn't have any fight in me. I didn't care about anything. I just wanted out."

Fantasia also admits that it was no accident...she knew exactly what she was doing.

"I just sat in the closet and looked at the mirror and took all the pills in the bottle."

Adding: "You can't accidentally take a whole bottle of pills."

The suicide attempt came just after the Idol champ was accused in a court complaint of breaking up a marriage...an accusation she denies being responsible for.
