We've been in Fort Myers since December. This is our second
red location. My sister, Sue Greenberg, opened the Sarasota store about four years ago. She had a little sewing group that sewed together for seven years. Her kids were out of the house and she thought she could open a store to have fun and make friends. She started that store and it just took off. She opened this store in Fort Myers because the community wanted it and needed it.
Her background is in marketing and sewing is her passion. Then she asked me to come along. This store was doing so well that she needed a manager. I moved here from Tucson.
What kind of things do you sell?
We sell fabric and notions. All of our fabrics are collections. That's pretty unique for a store to do that. We sell BabyLock sewing, quilting and embroidery machines. My sister and I go to conventions and markets where new fabrics are introduced.
