a felony charge of criminal endangerment and misdemeanor counts of DUI According to prosecutors and the Billings Police Department, Wesley Bettelyoun congds rolled a black 2002 Subaru Impreza shortly before 2 a.m. He was traveling west on Poly Drive, went through the intersection of 38th Street West and hit several curbs.

Police said Bettelyoun drove through the school’s parking lot and a chain-link fence into the Poly Vista Sports Complex, causing the car to roll several times and get tangled in batting cage netting.

Two passengers, a 28-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman, were treated on the scene and released. All three occupants were wearing seat belts.

Bettelyoun appeared later Tuesday in Justice Court by video from the county jail on a felony charge of criminal endangerment and misdemeanor counts of DUI and driving with suspended license. His bond was set at $10,000, and he was ordered to appear Thursday for arraignment in District Court. Prosecutors said Bettelyoun was convicted of a misdemeanor DUI in September.

According to court records: The car belonged to the female passenger, but Bettelyoun was driving because she was too intoxicated. The three friends had spent the evening together drinking at a casino.

The male passenger told police that Bettelyoun was putting the woman’s car “through its paces” when the crash happened. According to court records, Bettelyoun admitted to drinking about 10 beers through congds the evening before the crash. Court records state a breath test measured his blood alcohol level at 0.086 percent, just above the state legal limit for driving of 0.08 percent.
