A yearly issue is the tarp shortage. Back in 2009, there

This year, some companies are hoping to fight back this shortage by stockpiling containers and containers of tarp material in the Gulf of Mexico, where it's expected that the majority of orders will originate. This will decrease delivery times to locations that need them the most and reduce the awful secondary damage that arises in the aftermath of the hurricane season.
BP has offered 20 billion dollars, with 5 billion per year, in subvention to aid in the damage the oil-covered hurricane waters might cause, though it is suspected that around 120 million dollars in tourism has been lost in some locations alone. The resulting overall losses are substantial.
So if you're in need of tarp, get in early to avoid the rush that will come when the hurricane damages become more apparent. Leaving it till the last minute will only put you in line with thousands, if not millions, of other homeowners who wish to repair their homes
congenr and prevent further costs. Hurricane season is June 1st to November 30th. Most of the worlds poly tarps are used during this time.
