Woman guilty of mail theft avoids jail Postal outlet cleaner took items over 2-year period

Nathalie Charlene Legault Nathalie Charlene Legault, 41, admitted to secing stealing the items Custom hockey jerseys from the Parkdale Avenue postal outlet over a two-year period. She was caught when Canada Post launched an internal investigation and secretly videotaped her in February removing a parcel from a mail bin.

Court heard Legault, who pleaded guilty to one count of theft from mail, kept the valuable items and tossed the rest in the trash. The hockey jerseys and diamond ring were returned following Custom hockey jerseys her arrest, although the cookies, Christmas cards and wedding pictures had all been disposed of, said prosecutor James Cavanagh.

A single mother, Legault worked for a cleaning company hired by Canada Custom hockey jerseys Post. She confessed to taking the items as soon as she was confronted by Canada Post. She was subsequently fired and police were called.
