Preschool students at Kiddie U Learning Center in Dr. Phillips recently raised $230 for St BJ's Wholesale Club, in partnership with Procter & Gamble's corporate cause Live, Learn and Thrive, donated $5,000 to Boys & Girls Club of Downtown Orlando to fund its Power Hour Program.

Fifteen Orlando-area Popeyes restaurants participated in the Appetite for a Cure fundraiser to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, raising more than $52,000.

Employees from eight Florida Hospital locations, 18 Centra Care locations and other related facilities collected and donated more than 9,500 pounds of food and $7,000 to the Second Harvest Food Bank. AT&T Inc. donated $50,000 to the Orlando Science Center to provide underserved students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics with hands-on learning experiences geared toward new technologies.

Approximately 60 Kohl's Department Stores associates from Orlando-area stores participated in a beautification project benefitting the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, and the nearby Hubbard House. Kiddie U added $520 to the donation. Also, Artificial pumpkin students and families filled a tractor-trailer with needed and requested items for the Haiti Relief effort two months ago.
