“The opening of our Peachtree City facility is a major milestone for , specifically for the NCR Services organization,” said John Bruno, executive vice president of NCR, in a news release. “By co-locating strategic elements of our Global Services Parts headquarters, Americas Customer Care Center and NCR University, the center will enable NCR to deliver superior service to our customers, supporting about 20,000 service requests in the Americas region every day.”
Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue and U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson were on hand to celebrate the facility’s opening.
The NCR Services Center for Excellence, as the combined center is , will house more than 900 jobs and is a $15 million capital investment by the Duluth-based company. NCR (NYSE: NCR) announced in June it would move its headquarters from Dayton, Ohio, to Duluth and open a manufacturing facility in Columbus.
The manufacturing plant opened earlier this month and NCR said it will complete its headquarters relocation by the end of next year, bringing a total of more than 3,000 jobs to the .
