Yuichiro Nakada has released an updated version of
Linux, a Fedora-based live CD with support for Japanese and English
languages, and with a hard disk installation option. According to the ,
the latest Berry comes with an updated Linux kernel, version 2.6.18.1,
with patches for symmetric multiprocessing and boot splash, and with
support for ndev/udev. It also includes the latest MadWiFi wireless
networking drivers, version 0.9.2, and updated versions of NVIDIA
(1.0-8774) and ATI (8.29.6) proprietary kernel modules. Among other
packaging changes, DirectFB has been updated to version 1.0.0-rc1,
Qingq to 0.9.1, Whiz to 0.53 with Kimera 1.32, and WINE to 0.9.23. The
SCIM and SCIM-Whiz packages for inputting Asian characters have been
