The developers of Taiwan's Linux have released a new "pre-stable" build of their Debian-based distribution. This will be followed by a longer testing period before the final release of a stable B2D Linux 2006. Some of the more important changes include the following: renamed xserver to xserver-xorg, thus completing the transition to X.Org; included the ntfs-3g package from Ubuntu; the gcin input method editor has been pre-configured to use the "asdf" module by default; updated the translation of many KDE applications into traditional Chinese; added support for the traditional Chinese character set in KPDF; updated the Firestarter graphical configuration tool; upgraded fontconfig to version 2.4; added OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 and StarDict to software available for installation via Klik.
