There are basically 3 folders that you need to backup that compose your entire WebTrends installation. By following the process below you will save all of your profile configurations and analyzed report data.
Backing up and uninstalling WebTrends
1. You will need to reinstall WebTrends to the same location. Note your current install path before continuing. If you do not have a copy of your license keys, back these up to a safe place as well.
2. Make sure that you don’t have any running Analysis processes or other WebTrends tasks. To do this log into your WebTrends console and click Scheduler > Event or Job Queue. Both queues should be empty, if they are not, at the top of the right pane click Cancel all tasks.
3. Stop all of the WebTrends services. To do this, go to the Windows Services control panel applet and stop the services in the following order:
WebTrends – Scheduler Agent
WebTrends – User Interface
WebTrends – Tomcat (this should be stopped by the User Interface)
WebTrends – Apache (this should be stopped by the User Interface)
WebTrends – System Monitor
WebTrends – Geotrends (if present)
Any other WebTrends services that are not currently running except MySQL.
WebTrends – MySQL
4. Backup the following folders to a temporary storage location.
\WebTrends\common\database\mysql\data\wtmaster
\WebTrends\common\database\mysql\data\wt_sched
\WebTrends\Storage\
5. Uninstall your WebTrends installation using the Add/Remove programs control panel applet.
Reinstalling WebTrends
1. Install WebTrends using the same original install path.
2. Stop the WebTrends services using the same process as step III above.
3. Rename the following folders:
\WebTrends\common\database\mysql\data\wtmaster
\WebTrends\common\database\mysql\data\wt_sched
\WebTrends\Storage
to:
\WebTrends\common\database\mysql\data\wtmaster-clean
\WebTrends\common\database\mysql\data\wt_sched-clean
\WebTrends\Storage-clean
4. Drop your backed-up folders into the same locations next to the renamed files.
5. Start the WebTrends services in the opposite order that you stopped them. When you login you should see all of your old profiles and analyzed report data.
