Turn your notebook into two workstations
Most notebooks are shipped with a dual-head display card, one head of the card is connected to the LCD, and the other head is usually a VGA port, which allows you to connect the notebook either to a projector or to a second display monitor.
Now let’s extend the VGA port to a second workstation, which can be operated independently with the notebook. It looks as if you have got two computers working concurrently, here are the steps:
STEP ONE: Prepare the hardware/software components
Hardware:
VGA cable
LCD monitor
USB Hub
USB keyboard
USB Mouse
USB Audio Card
Software:
BeTwin 2.00.419 (supports Windows XP SP3)
(Other similar softwares are : Buddy, HiShare, SoftXpand, Aster XP)
Connect the LCD monitor to the notebook via the VGA cable, connect the three USB peripheral devices to the notebook via the USB Hub; Make sure the four devices all function well.
Install BeTwin and reboot the machine.
STEP TWO: Configuration
Follow the instructions appeared on both monitors to assign independent keyboard and mouse to separate workstations. And reboot, after you logon to the notebook, another logon window will appear on the second monitor, just logon using another username. Now you have got two full functional computers, either of which has independent keyboard, mouse, display, and audio! Just play them with your lover~
This solution reduces your TCO: saving money, saving power, saving space, single OS configuration!
