Icecream and children

there are 5 children and 3 different flavors(say A,B,C) of ice cream. questions: how many ways to distribute the 3 flavors to the 5 children.
Please note: AABBC is considered the same as ABABC here.

magine that there's a flag for each flavor of ice cream, and we need to
post the flags in the row of children. The child on the right of a flag will get that flavor of ice cream. There must be a flag on the far left or some children may not get any flavor of ice cream at all. Now the problem becomes inserting n-1 flags into m+(n-1) places, therefore C(m+n-1, n-1)
