Domain Mapping is the process of pointing a registered domain name to, in this case, your Blog.com blog.
The main part of your blog URL is its domain (an example of a domain is “johndoe.com”). To further expand this example, should your blog be currently accessed at “johndoe,.blog.com”, with this feature you could choose to have it served at “johndoe.com” or any other domain you own.
Please note that we do not provide a domain registration service yet, so it has to be a domain that you already own.

The Domain Mapping Upgrade does not enable the permission to use advertising or upload additional themes and plugins. With the upgrade, your blog will still be hosted at Blog,.com, which means that you will not have FTP access to your files and must still abide by our .
To map your domain right away, follow these simple instructions:
1. Go to your blog’s Upgrades section;
2. Buy this feature and proceed to the respective purchase and payment ($18,.00 per year);
3. Once it’s activated, head up to Tools > Domain Mapping and enter your domain name ;
4. To finish up the process use the DNS tools provided by your domain registrar, add a CNAME for your domain pointing to map.blog.com. Please note that DNS changes may take up to 1 day to fully propagate;
