	friends-511-Joey wants to learn guitar
	<DIV>In this chapter, Joey made his New Year's resolution: to learn how to play the guitar. It was such an abrupt decision for Joey, as our Chinese old saying, it was called "Be seized by a whim". Then the passional Phoebe introduced herself to Joey just because she often played with her guitar. Without any consideration,Joey agreed with Phoebe and took her as his guitar teacher immediately.</DIV> <DIV>It seems to be a mistake by the time Joey made such a sightless decision. By the same while, Joey was doomed to learn nothing about guitar from Phoebe cause Phoebe herself could not play her guitar very well and she had no experience about how to be a good guitar teacher.</DIV> <DIV>For Joey, he had the passion to learn guitar, it's uncommon for him. However, the more important, he should know exactly the way to study guitar well rather than pin his hope on Phoebe. For example, first of all he should gather some available imformation about guitar, just like some foreigners, when they make the decision to go abroad to have a trip, they would spend half a year to collect the correlative imformation about the geography position, the custom of local people, the environment and so on of their destination. After that, they could accurately solve everything they meet with the imformation collected. The second, to choose a good teacher is so important just as choosing the best way to solve a difficult question.   </DIV> <DIV>For Phoebe, she also made a mistake to be the guitar teacher of Joey. She herself even could not play the guitar very well, how dare she was to taught some other.<BR>The first lesson she taught Joey was just not to touch the guitar. Maybe it's right because we all know that without enough basic knowledges, one should not put it into practice immediately. However, Phoebe forbided Joey from touching the guitar from the beginning to an end, that's incredible! Just as most of us who wants to study English well, we only recite thousands of English words, read a lot of English articles, listen to the English broadcasts, but we never try to speak with English, we ignore the most important thing for learning English so everything goes in vain.</DIV> <DIV>That's easy to see that Joey would never be successful to learn guitar well.</DIV>

	friends-510-The board Ross
	<DIV>In this chapter, Ross became free of work because his sandwich had lost and then he became angry about that. his boss cognizanced there was something wrong with Ross and gave him a period of time to have a treatment. </DIV> <DIV>As a hard working man, he became so unaccustomed after he rest for a few days, he tried to find something to do, that made him felt not so boring. Then he became the supervisor of Joey, that's funny and, a little ridiculous.</DIV> <DIV>That made me remember the woman in a sitcom named "The China-style divorce", let's just take her as A. When A used to be an elementary school's teacher, she put all her heart into her career. Her family only took up a little part of her time, took care of the only child of her became her husband's affair. However, after losing her work, she became an idler, the only thing she needed to do was just stayed at home. Then she became so sensitivity about her husband, she kept calling him no matter how busy he was. She kept asking such as "What are you doing?" "How are you today?" "I phone you just because I miss you", all of which were senseless questions. More than that, A even followed her husband when he went out for work, she just wanted to make sure whether her husband loved with someone else. These things directly leading to their divorce.   </DIV> <DIV>Take some stars for example, they were always used to the gold old days when they were followed and arounded by their crazy fans. "That's my work, I really love it althought a little tired" That's what we often heard of from them. As each leaf will experience the phases from green to yellow then becomes one part of clay, when they quited their show biz, they could not help missing the overpassed time. some of them even got the symptom of hypochondrium, then chose they way of suicide as their last productions. </DIV> <DIV>I really do not know whether I would be another Ross if I lost my work in the future, maybe I will just go for a trip as one of my best frineds have done. </DIV>

	friends-509-Joey become the scapegoat
	<DIV>The people who exactly knows when to say "NO" to some one else in what condition is such an intelligent people. However, Joey is excluded from these people. He thought a lot of his friends Chandler and Monica when he got to know that the relationship between them had changed to love offair, but that bothered him.</DIV> <DIV>When Chandler's underwear appeared in the living room where Monica, Rachel and Phoebe lived, Joey had to pretended to admit it was his and then took it back; When Joey took his first-day-met girlfriend to his house and be ready to make love with her, the girl saw the blanket in the living room with a video arounding, she thought maybe Joey wanted to tape their sex scene into the video, she just ran away. Unfortunately, Rachel saw it as it happened. Then Joey had to made a deceit that he was making low-budget adult films; When Joey happened to saw Monica's naked photo which Chandler forgot to hide, Rachel was right there in the back of him. Still, in order to kept the secret between Chandler and Monica, he became the scapegoat for the third time.</DIV> <DIV>I really understand how Joey felt when he was misunderstood by some other people for he had made a promise to Chandler and Monica to keep the secret. I myself had almost the same experience as Joey met.</DIV> <DIV>When I and cotemporary people used to be young, we were deeply effected by the spirit of errantry in JinYong's books. We were taught to be a responsible man, but we ignored the more important thing that we should not always be the man who responsible for everything. So, it's easy to see we were often trapped into awkard<BR>scenes for the sake of sticking up for our friends. As I grow up to be an adult, I know that something is more complicated than just respond for it, expecially in our sociaty. It's why the people who have justice become more and more exiguous, that just because they could not afford to taking the responsibility. </DIV> <DIV>That's doleful, but there seems to be no other way to solve it. It becomes a problem for all our diseased society. <BR>      </DIV>

	friends-508-The love to Chandler changed her life
	<DIV>Thanks to this chapter, I knew that why Monica chose to become a chef, it's just about love, the love to Chandler.</DIV> <DIV>Ross and some other friends could not move at all after they had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner done by chief Monica. Then they began to recall the passed Thanksgiving days when they had a funny or a awkard experience. My whole feeling was trapped into Monica's depiction. </DIV> <DIV>It was 1987's Thanksgiving day, Chandler and Rachel were invited by Ross and his sister Monica seperately, that's the first time when Chandler met Monica. It was easy to see that when Monica first saw Chandler, she was favor of such guy. However Chandler did not, when Ross introduced Monica to him, he even laughed at Monica's portly stature deeply in his heart. Maybe on his opinion, the people with good appearance and exquisite stature was worth association. With the talking between he and Ross, he expressed his detestation to Monica just because she was fat. Unfortunately, all he said was heard by Monica who just a few steps from them. She became so depressed, when her mother asked her to eat up some surplus pies which she really liked, she just said "No,No, thank you" then walked away.</DIV> <DIV>After that, Chandler's mordant words became the momentum for her to lose weight and she successed when she met Chandler for the second time. Moreover, Chandler's  optional words "Maybe you should be a chef" made her a really chef. </DIV> <DIV>When I understood why such a beautiful girl even chose to become a chef, I was deeply affected by her faith and the love to Chandler. I really wished they could get married at last from the friends relationship to sponse relationship. And for Chandler, he should feel so lucky that there was such a great woman who sacrificed too much for him. </DIV> <DIV>By the same time, I have to admit that love is the most amazing thing in the world.</DIV>

	friends-507-The corresponding and understanding
	<DIV>In this chapter, Ross moved to Chandler and Joey's mutual house and lived with them. At first, they lead a harmonization relationship, as time goes by, some problems came out. Ross is such a man who like to do some researches with his computer and to read some newspapers in the room, so he always needs a relatively quiet environment. However, Joey and Chandler are not as the same as he. Joey is an actor, he likes watch TV or play games with Chandler who has almost the same habits with him. Although Chandler is an IT engineer, he needs to be totally relaxed after a whole day long's work. That's why we often see Chandler and Joey together, watch TV, play simulative football game, drink coffee in the center park or some other things without Ross.</DIV> <DIV>Then one day, when Ross was concentrating on his researches in front of his computer, Joey kept on making noises, that made him felt uncomfortable. So he used a politely gesture to hint Joey to be quiet. The same thing also happened to Chandler as Joey mentioned Ross's habit he could even imitated Ross's gesture he used often. </DIV> <DIV>they made a decision for they could not bear Ross's quiet loving habit, they found a house for Ross and pleased he to move in. Ross then exactly knew what they really thought, he was depressed by such two"good friends". He did as Chandler and Joey wished him to do without more words.</DIV> <DIV>Although they lived together at last because Chandler and Joey felt sorry, the shadow to their friendship left.   </DIV> <DIV>I am used to be Ross, I also like quiet environment. For this reason, I even had a quarrel with my old roommate when I still a college student. I am sensitive to strong lamplight when I ready to go to sleep, I am also disgusted with my roommates' fullmouthed discussion as well as their bad habits. But now, after I finished watching this chapter, after I saw Ross closed the door and walked out when he hurt by Chandler and Joey's words, I felt sorry to the one I used to be.</DIV> <DIV>Whatever you would say, maybe you should consider about whether these words would possiblely hurt somebody first, or else you should never be respected.    <BR></DIV>

	friends-506-The ending of Ross's marriage
	<DIV>If you can not handle between your marriage and friends, then, you will lose one of them. How do you choose, marriage or friends? It's time for Ross to choose this time.</DIV> <DIV>Ross made a mistake when he took his fiancee Emily's name as Rachel in their wedding ceremony. That made Emily so embarrassed to her friends and parents who came to join her wedding. She left Ross after a unilateral quarrel with him for a long time. Then one day, she gave Ross a call and agreed to move to New York where Ross and his five friends Chandler, Joey, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe lived in on condition that Rachel would never show up in front of Ross, that made everyone of they six good friends felt not happy. What a awkard scene it was if two of them would be got rid of, like a moon cake which is pressed for one part, it is not integrity.</DIV> <DIV>Joey found Ross was not seemed to be happy when he helped Ross did moving to another apartment, he could not help expressing his really feeling about Ross's action, he thought Ross sacrificed too much for that woman, it's not worth that.<BR>Of course, Chandler, Monica and Phoebe they all agreed with Joey, he said what they also wanted to say. However, that irritated Ross, he roared to his friends and said they could never know how to make a marriage work cause none of them got married like Ross himself, then stormed out.</DIV> <DIV>Things went worse, when Emily knew that Rachel would have dinner with Ross and the other guys, she cenceled the plan to go to New York, moreover, she said goodbye to Ross.</DIV> <DIV>I have no good feeling about Emily, thought Ross hurt her in their wedding ceremony, she should not be so costive. If she really loved Ross, she should forgive Ross's mistake and take Ross's friends as her own friends. I am not sorry about Ross's part with Emily, maybe it's such a good thing for him. <BR></DIV>

	friends-505-A romantic weekend
	<DIV>Something happens when you intend to do, gradually, even the good thing could be reversed.</DIV> <DIV>Chandler and Monica had planned to go enjoying a romantic weekend, just both of them only. They did not suppose to lead a succession of boring things which made their romantic weekend to be not so good. Before they set out,  Monica said she would going to join the culinary fair in New Jersey, and Chandler said she had a conference there. That made Joey doubt whether it was only a coincidence? </DIV> <DIV>When they got there, they went straight to the hotel which they ordered before they set out. I thought they would not wait for a second to make love, but the truth was that Chandler just turned on the TV and be concentrated to the chase, he even invited Monica to watch together with him, that's ridiculous! And, Monica was such a woman who wanted to make everything to be perfect, she saw the glasses with lipstick on them that made she felt very uncomfortable. So she asked for a change to another room. </DIV> <DIV>What a pity! When they moved to the new house, Monica found that the room had no ocean view, so they moved again. After Monica thought everything went all right as she like, but there was something wrong with Chandler, the TV program was over, that made he felt irritated. He thought it was Monica's fault because she kept changing and changing form one room to another, that intermitted the chase.So they had a huge quarrel by then. At last, the romantic weekend was totally broken down.</DIV> <DIV>If they could be more allowance rather than censure each other, everything would be all right as they planned at first. It seemed to be more ludicrous when I heard Chandler told Monica that they had to end their relationship just because they had a quarrel. </DIV> <DIV>I thought Chandler was not worth Monica's love from such a little detail, as it was always said that "Whether she is good or not, just judge by some details she had done, then you would know her".   <BR>    </DIV>

	friends-504-The One Where Phoebe Hates PBS
	<DIV>It's really different between us Chinese and Americans. Such as Monica and Chandler, they used to be good friends. However, after both of them went to London to join their friend Ross's wedding, everything changed. They made love, they had sex relationship! They thought maybe they drunk a lot and did the bad thing at first, a few seconds later, they both considered they did a  romantic thing out of their country. As our Chinese's thinking habit, there should be only two things happen, one, Chandler and Monica fecome lassie to each other right now; two, their friendship would be totally broken up cause they did the wrong thing which should never happen between two friends. However, they just made the third instance, they set up another relationship between friendship and love for them. To Ross, Rachel, Phoebe and Joey, they pretended to be the best friends as before. Furthermore, when no one else left in the room, they just wanted to make love one more time. They only cared about whether they could get the climax from the other one when they made love. </DIV> <DIV>That seemed to be unbelievable to me as a Chinese. In our's minds, one could never cross over the base line from friendship to love. If such thing happens, that would be thought to be demoralization. We ususally see similar scenarios from movies or sitcoms which designed by our Chinese directors, A and B are two good friends, one day, A found that she loved B deeply, she felt so foolish and villainly but she could not oppress the good willing of love. At last, she told her thought to A. As we could find the answer without watching ahead, their friendship break down and they become strangers to each other. What a pity! But things always go like that.</DIV> <DIV>I have to admit the different cultures between China and some other European countries do exist. To my opinion, I really agree that good friends should never be lover one day, that would make so many things change. For example, as friends, they could talk everything optionally, they could joke or even laugh at each other, that's all ok. However when they become lovers, they could never be as optional as before, anything one will do, should concern about more such as "Would I hurt her if I do like this?" "How dare I talk these things to her, that should only be shared with my friends." On such conditions, a lot of problems come out. Maybe some of them would break down the love, that's the truth.</DIV>
